Gordon Meriwether, PMP, MBA
Principal
Gordon Meriwether founded The Uriah Group in 2002 following a distinguished 30-year career in the development of systems solutions for commercial and government clients. In addition to risk management assessments and solutions, his systems experience includes space borne sensors, avionics, integrated software, security systems, and professional IT services.

Beginning his career with the US Navy as a ship’s officer, he transitioned to the Naval Intelligence community where he distinguished himself as a reserve intelligence officer serving as Commanding Officer in London, New Orleans, and two tours in the Pentagon. He retired in 2001 in the rank of Captain.
His civilian career has paralleled his military service, working for General Electric, Unisys, CACI and DynCorp in various business development and project management capacities. Gordon has an M.B.A. from George Washington University, a B.S. from the University of Alabama, and is a Sorensen Fellow at the University of Virginia. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
As a faculty member of the Graduate School of Business and Management at the University of Phoenix, both online and on campus, Gordon teaches Project Management, Operations Management, and Strategic Planning. He is also a member of the faculty for Michigan State University’s National Food Safety and Toxicology Center Graduate Food Security Program teaching recovery (online) and the principles of leadership (on Campus) in the Food Science Graduate program. He is also an instructor in Agroterrorism Curriculum with the Western Institute for Food Safety and Security at the University of California – Davis. He has served in various civic and local capacities, including chairman of the advisory committee to the local school board on technical studies.

Rita Goodell, PMP, MBA
Principal
Rita Goodell brings to The Uriah Group extensive experience in mobilizing teams, services, and resources to enable organizations to achieve business goals. For 34 years, she has led teams on complex and critical assignments and has specialized in managing projects of varying sizes on time and within budget.
From 1988 to 2004, she headed Information
|
Technology departments for various organizations, including Contel, GTE, DynCorp, and CSC. She was IT Director for the last 7 years, providing network and data services for more than 1490 employees and a dozen contracts, and directing a 75-person IT support team and Network Operations Center until she took early retirement in 2004.
Through the 1970s and 80s, her career focused on the field of training and development. She managed the training function for the National Council of Senior Citizens, National Council on the Aging, and several banks. Of particular note was her work in criminal justice for the elderly, in which she organized high-crime communities to provide crime prevention and victim assistance services under grants from the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration. She authored several books on the subject.
She has an M.B.A. from Marymount University and a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
